MEXICO CITY, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Saavi Energía S.à r.l. (“Saavi Energía”) is pleased to announce the successful closing of the previously announced transaction with Grupo México, S.A.B. de C.V. (“Grupo México”).

The transaction combines Saavi Energía’s facilities with Grupo México’s power generation assets, creating a diversified energy platform comprising 10 strategically located power plants across high-demand regions in Mexico, one mobile power generation business and three gas compression stations.

The platform has 4.5 GW of combined power generation capacity.

Following the closing, Grupo México owns a 70% stake in Saavi Energía, while Global Infrastructure Partners (“GIP”), a subsidiary of BlackRock, owns the remaining 30%.

Saavi Energía expects the combination to strengthen its financial position, enhance its scale and operational capabilities, and reinforce its position as the leading power generation platform in Mexico.
