CitroTech and Matrix Wildfire Announce Strategic Partnership to Deliver Large Scale Wildfire Mitigation to Communities, Utilities, and Railroads

CitroTech (NYSE AM: CITR), a specialty chemical company developing environmentally responsible fire retardant solutions, and Matrix Wildfire (“Matrix”) today announced a strategic partnership that combines Matrix’s high-capacity, Massive Area Fire Denial (MAFD) industrial hardware application with CitroTech’s leading retardant chemistry to establish wide-area defense barriers.

Pairing Matrix Wildfire’s MAFD predictive spatial intelligence with the only fire retardant that is safe to repeatedly apply, the partnership delivers a scalable solution designed to safeguard entire Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) communities, utility corridors, and railway rights-of-way on a zip code level.

The combined solution transforms legacy, reactive fire suppression into a proactive utility model, delivering results more effective than many air tanker retardant drops. Deployed months before the first ignition, the platform establishes physical firebreak buffers that prevent rapid flame spread along critical railway transit routes, power grids, and municipal borders. Its continuous perimeter retardant barriers are up to 600 feet wide, enhancing wildfire protection from localized property management to macro public utility infrastructure.

Utilities and rail operators face growing challenges to reduce wildfire risk across thousands of miles of infrastructure, from critical transmission lines to key rail corridors. The teams will use Spatial Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Precision Deployment to combine predictive risk modeling and real-time internet of things (IoT) verification telemetry to property-level risk attestation for municipal leaders and insurance underwriters.
